
AE-FUNAI Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening starts 18 July. If you scored 150 or above and made AE-FUNAI your first choice, here’s how to apply and what to know before the 29 August deadline.
Applications open for eligible candidates into various degree programmes
The Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, has opened its portal for Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening for the 2025/2026 academic year. Registration begins Friday, 18 July, and ends Friday, 29 August 2025.
Candidates who scored at least 150 in the 2025 UTME and chose AE-FUNAI as their first choice can apply. But don’t just jump in. Check the programme-specific cut-off marks below to be sure you qualify.
Cut-Off Marks by Faculty
Here’s a quick breakdown of the minimum scores required for each faculty:
Faculty of Agriculture (150+)
- Agribusiness and Management
- Agriculture (All options)
- Fisheries and Aquaculture
Basic Medical Sciences (180+)
- Anatomy
- Physiology
Education (150+ unless stated)
- English Education, Management, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
- Computer Science and Economics Education (160+)
- Technical Education options in Mechanical, Electrical, Building, etc.
Engineering and Technology (180+)

What If AE-FUNAI Wasn’t Your First Choice?
You can still apply. But you must change your school choice on the JAMB portal to AE-FUNAI before 29 August 2025. This applies to both UTME and DE candidates.
Note: Candidates for Medicine and Nursing must have O’Level results from one sitting only.
How To Apply
Follow these steps:
- Visit the AE-FUNAI portal
- Click Admissions at the top, then select the correct application type:
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
- Pay the N2,000 fee at any bank
- Return to the portal, complete your form, and submit
- Print your acknowledgement slip
Need help with registration? You can walk into either:
- The University CBT Centre (Zone A, main campus)
- Centre for Educational Services, Aguogboriga Estate, Abakaliki
Use a working phone number during registration. The school will use it to reach you if needed.
Final Notes
- Upload your O’Level and DE results to JAMB CAPS by 29 August 2025
- Screening will be internal. No exam, just result checks.
- Falsified details? Your application gets thrown out without warning.
