Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former presidential candidate Peter Obi, and ex-Governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai paid a condolence visit on Wednesday to the family of former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Daura. Tori News reported on Sunday that ex-President Muhammadu Buhari passed on in the most expensive private hospital in London, the United Kingdom. The Katsina-born politician served as a military Head of State and as a democratically elected Nigerian President from 2015 to 2023. During the time he was president, Buhari spent at least 225 days away from Nigeria on medical trips, and it remains unclear what ailment he was being treated for. His longest was in May 2017 when he departed for London for a medical pilgrimage lasting 104 days. Before his death, Buhari spent 10 days to two weeks in the London clinic. The former President was buried in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, on Tuesday.
