Covenant University Postgraduate Admission List
Covenant University has started taking applications for its 2025/2026 postgraduate programmes. If you’re aiming for a Master’s or PhD, this is your chance. They want candidates who are ready for serious research and learning, not just another certificate.
Who Should Apply?
If you hold a degree and want to push further into research or professional study, you’re on the radar. Whether you’re fresh out of school or already working, there are different entry points depending on your qualifications.

What You’ll Need
Before you rush to fill the form, make sure these are ready:
- Degree or diploma certificates
- Academic transcripts (sent straight from your school to Covenant)
- Two reference letters
- NYSC certificate (or exemption, if it applies)
- A 500-word statement explaining your research interest
Start by completing the online application on the Covenant University postgraduate portal.
Master’s Degree Entry
To get into a Master’s programme:
- You need at least a Second Class Lower in a related course
- If you finished with a Third Class or an HND (Upper Credit), you’ll also need a PGD with at least 3.50 CGPA on a 5-point scale
- The programme lasts two sessions for full-time students
PhD Entry
If you’re going for a PhD:
- You must have both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Your Master’s CGPA should be 4.00 or above on a 5-point scale
- If you fall between 3.50 and 3.99, you might still be considered through the M.Phil/PhD route
- Full-time students should expect to spend at least three sessions
Business School Options
The Covenant Business School also offers an MBA with areas like:
- Marketing
- Accounting
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Entrepreneurship
- Real Estate
You’ll need a relevant degree with Second Class Lower at least. If you’re applying with a Third Class or HND, you’ll also need a PGD and a recognised professional qualification like ICAN, ACA or ACIB.
