FUKASHERE 6th – 9th Convocation Ceremonies Programme of Events

Federal University, Kashere has released the schedule for its 6th to 9th combined convocation ceremonies. Events begin 1 July 2025 and include lectures, exhibitions, award ceremonies and certificate collection. Graduating students must follow dress and payment instructions.

FUKASHERE Sets Dates for Combined 6th–9th Convocation Ceremonies

Federal University, Kashere (FUKASHERE) is set to hold its 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th combined convocation ceremonies. The university will award degrees, diplomas, prizes and confer honorary doctorate titles.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Umaru A. Pate, on behalf of the Council and Senate, invites the public and the university community to attend. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect.

Tuesday, 1 July 2025

Press Briefing

  • Venue: Senate Chamber, FUK
  • Time: 2:00 PM

Thursday, 3 July 2025

Convocation Alumni Gathering

  • Venue: Entrepreneurship Auditorium
  • Time: 2:00 PM

Thursday & Friday, 3–4 July 2025

Convocation Exhibition

  • Venue: Exhibition Hall, Entrepreneurship Centre
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Friday, 4 July 2025

Undergraduate Convocation Ceremony

  • Venue: Multipurpose Indoor Sports Hall
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Convocation Lecture

  • Venue: New 500-Capacity Lecture Theatre, New Site
  • Time: 4:00 PM

Saturday, 5 July 2025

Award of Higher Degrees & Honorary Doctorates

  • Venue: Multipurpose Indoor Sports Hall
  • Time: 10:00 AM

Commissioning of Projects

  • Venue: Project Sites
  • Time: 1:00 PM

Guidelines for Graduating Students

  • Academic gowns are compulsory for all graduating students joining the academic procession
  • Gown hire fees: ₦3,000 for undergraduates, ₦5,000 for postgraduates
  • Gowns are issued by Faculty Officers (for undergraduates) or the Secretary of Postgraduate Studies (for PG students)
  • Return deadline: Monday, 7 July 2025
  • Late return fine: ₦1,000 per day

Students should collect invitation cards, event details and gown information from their faculty officers. Certificates will be issued immediately after the ceremony, once the required fee has been paid.
