The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has made the list of Nigeria’s top 10 universities, according to the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.
These rankings, released on 18 June 2025, compared over 2,500 universities from 130 countries, including 36 Nigerian schools. FUNAAB stood out for its work towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
How FUNAAB Performed
FUNAAB placed 7th nationally in the overall results. That’s not just impressive—it’s consistent with how the school has grown in recent years.

- 2nd in Nigeria for SDG 4 (Quality Education)
- 3rd in SDG 2 (Zero Hunger)
- 4th in SDG 13 (Climate Action)
- 6th in SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals)
So whether it’s feeding minds or tackling hunger and climate issues, FUNAAB seems to be putting in real work.

Professor Babatunde Kehinde, the Vice-Chancellor, praised the entire university community for pulling together to reach this level. He encouraged everyone—students, lecturers, and staff—to keep raising the bar.
