Gombe State University (GSU) has received full accreditation for six academic programmes across three faculties, following a formal evaluation by the National Universities Commission (NUC). The announcement came from the university’s Director of Academic Planning, Professor A. D. Bajoga, who confirmed that the review was held between October and November 2024.
This achievement strengthens the university’s position as a trusted centre for higher learning and brings the number of fully accredited undergraduate programmes at GSU to 63.

The six newly approved programmes cover a mix of arts, science, and professional fields:
- Business Administration – Faculty of Arts and Social Science
- Education English – Faculty of Education
- Education History – Faculty of Education
- Pharmacy – Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Biology – Faculty of Science
- Geology – Faculty of Science
