Nollywood actress Temitope Solaja, widely known as Aruga, has opened up about her emotional journey since relocating to the United States, revealing that she has faced several challenges and even experienced some attacks. Speaking during an interview on Biola Bayo’s podcast, Aruga said some people speculated she was pregnant and had travelled abroad solely to give birth. The actress admitted she struggled with doubts and uncertainty about her decision to start a new life in a foreign country. She credited actor Lateef Adedimeji for supporting her during the difficult period, revealing that his prayers and encouragement helped her stay focused on her dreams. Aruga also revealed that veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, was her celebrity crush, a sentiment sparked by his performance in the classic film ‘Owo Blow.’ Speaking on her love for acting, the actress emphasised that her passion for the craft goes beyond fame, describing it as her true calling. “Ogogo used to be my crush. That was the time of the Owo Blow. I experienced some attacks when I moved to America. “People thought I was pregnant when I relocated, and I was going to have my child in America. I would cry and wonder if I made the right decision, because I wanted to go start all over. “I called Lateef Adedimeji because then we were very close, he said go and prosper and prayed for me because he was in Mecca then. I was crying because I am a teary person. “I love my career not because I want to be famous or well known, if acting happened to be like a doctor, I would still love it. “You guys have been asking me to come back, and I am back. I don’t know how to do it, but I will just keep doing it. When I produce my movie, please watch it with love. Please, for God’s sake, I don’t know how to dance”, she said.
