Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for what he described as an obsession with becoming Nigeria’s President. Olayinka made this statement on Thursday, when he featured on ‘Sunrise Daily’, a programme on Channels Television. He was reacting to Atiku’s resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Recall that Atiku on Wednesday dumped the PDP, predicating his resignation on the trajectory the party has taken. “The only thing that interests Atiku Abubakar is to become Nigeria’s President. I’m beginning to wonder whether a doctor prescribed ‘Presidency’ for him, and if he doesn’t become President, something will happen to him,” Olayinka said.
