KASU 2024/2025 Academic Calendar: All Key Dates in One Place

Kaduna State University (KASU) has rolled out a fresh academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session. Whether you’re just getting started or coming back for another year, it’s best to keep track so nothing catches you off guard.

The schedule includes start dates, breaks, exams and even national holidays. Below is a breakdown you can actually follow without needing a notepad and headache pills.

First Semester: January to July 2025

Registration

  • Freshers: 13 to 2 February (3 weeks)
  • Returning students: 20 to 26 January (1 week)

Lectures and Tests

  • All students: 27 January to 30 March (9 weeks)
  • Short break and course changes: 31 March to 6 April
  • Lectures continue: 7 April to 11 May (5 weeks)

Exams and Results

  • Exams and marking: 11 to 30 June (3 weeks)
  • Results processing: 30 June to 13 July (2 weeks)
  • Senate sits and results go live: 16 July

Break

  • End-of-semester holiday: 29 June to 13 July

Second Semester: July to November 2025

Lectures and Mid-break

  • Classes resume: 14 July to 30 August (7 weeks)
  • Mid-break and course adjustments: 1 to 6 September
  • Back to lectures: 8 September to 18 October (6 weeks)

Student Elections

  • Election week: 6 to 12 October

Exams and Wrap-Up

  • Exams and marking: 20 October to 8 November (3 weeks)
  • Results processing: 10 to 22 November
  • Senate release: 26 November

Transfers and Holidays

  • Transfers start: 27 November to 17 December
  • End-of-session break: 8 November to 4 January 2026
