KASU 2025 Admission Form for Basic, IJMB and Remedial Programmes

Kaduna State University (KASU) has opened its portal for admission into the College of Basic Studies for the 2025/2026 academic session. The forms cover Basic Studies, IJMB, and Remedial programmes. If you’re looking to build up your entry points or strengthen your O’Level results, this is a solid chance.

What Are These Programmes?

Basic Studies (Science and Humanities)

The Basic Studies option is for those who want to prepare ahead for university admission via UTME. It runs with two tracks:

  • Science: English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Geography
  • Humanities: English, Maths, Economics, Geography, Government, Literature

Requirements:

  • Must register for the 2025 UTME
  • Five O’Level credit passes, including English and Maths, in not more than two sittings

IJMB Programme

The IJMB track prepares students for Direct Entry into 200-level of Nigerian universities. Subjects offered include:

  • Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
  • Accounting, Business Management, Economics
  • Government, Geography, Sociology

Requirements:

  • Must register for the 2025 JAMB Direct Entry
  • Five O’Level credit passes, including English and Maths, in not more than two sittings

Remedial Studies

For students who need to correct or improve their O’Level grades before taking UTME, KASU offers Remedial programmes in Science and Humanities:

  • Remedial Science: English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Geography
  • Remedial Humanities: English, Maths, Economics, Geography, Government, Literature

Requirements:

  • Three O’Level credits in not more than two sittings
  • Must pass WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in the remaining subjects before final admission
  • Must also register for the 2025 UTME

How to Apply

  1. Visit the KASU Application Portal
  2. Click Available Forms
  3. Choose the programme you want (Basic, IJMB or Remedial)
  4. Fill the form carefully
  5. Pay the application fee of ₦5,000
    • Choose Pay via Interswitch
    • Pick either WebPay (online card payment) or Bank Branch
    • If paying at a bank (preferably FCMB), print the reference page and go with it
  6. After payment, return to the portal to finish your application

Important Reminder

If you’re offered provisional admission, you must show your original documents during registration. Make sure your details are accurate before submission.
