Study Health Info Management at OAUTHC, Ile-Ife
The School of Health Information Management (SHIM) at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, has opened its application for the 2025/2026 session. If you’re aiming to build a career in health records or information systems, and you’ve written or plan to write UTME this year, this is your chance to get in.
Who Can Apply
For National Diploma (ND) Applicants
To apply for the ND programme, you must:
- Sit for the 2025 UTME
- Score at or above the UTME cut-off for Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Colleges (to be set by JAMB)
- Have five credits in English, Maths, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB (max of two sittings)
- Choose SHIM, OAUTHC as either first or second choice, and be ready to change to first choice if selected
For Higher National Diploma (HND) Applicants
To qualify for the HND programme, you must:
- Meet the same O’level subject requirements as above
- Hold a National Diploma in Health Information Management, not below Lower Credit
- Have completed a one-year industrial attachment in a recognised health facility
- Possess a valid professional licence
Exam and Screening Process
ND Applicants
You’ll be tested in:
- English
- Maths
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- General Paper
Written and oral sessions will be held.
HND Applicants
Exams will cover:
- English
- Professional courses
- General Paper
How to Apply
- ND applicants pay a ₦2,000 fee
- HND applicants pay ₦8,000
- Payment is made via REMITA to OAUTHC, Ile-Ife
After payment, collect the form from:
School of Health Information Management,
OAUTHC, P.M.B. 5538,
Ile-Ife, Nigeria
Return completed forms to the school no later than Tuesday, 23 September 2025.
Screening Dates
Post-UTME and interviews will take place on:
- Wednesday, 24 September 2025
- Thursday, 25 September 2025

A Quick Note
Graduates of this programme will be eligible to join the NYSC scheme after completion.
