Panic As High Electricity Voltage K!lls Five People, Injures 13 Others In Gombe

It said the injured victims are currently receiving medical attention at different health facilities within the state capital while bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the hospital morgue.  As many as five people have been confirmed de@d and thirteen others injured after a high-voltage power surge struck residential areas in Gombe State. Confirming the tragic incident in a statement, the Gombe Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari AbdullahiM said the high voltage which occured in the Tudun-Wadan Pantami area of Gombe Metropolis, also, damaged electrical appliances, shocking metal substances around houses. “Upon receiving the report, officers from the Low-cost Divisional Police Headquarters promptly visited the scene to secure the area and evacuate the victims to hospital for medical attention. “Preliminary investigation revealed that the unfortunate incident claimed the lives of five individuals while thirteen others sustained various degrees of injuries.” the statement said It said the injured victims are currently receiving medical attention at different health facilities within the state capital while bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the hospital morgue
