Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, is a Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter who shot to fame in 2023 with the viral success of his track Elon Musk. Born on April 12, 2000, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, Shallipopi’s rise to stardom was swift, thanks to his unique sound blending Afrobeats, hip-hop, and street slang.

Early Life & Musical Journey

Shallipopi was raised in a musically inclined household alongside his brother, Zerry DL, who is also an artist. He began writing songs at 14, inspired by Nigerian music giants such as Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy. Despite early struggles, his passion for music never wavered.

His breakthrough came in 2023 with Elon Musk, which earned massive streaming numbers and sparked interest both locally and internationally. This success led to multiple remixes, including collaborations with Zlatan and Fireboy DML.

Career Milestones

After his breakout hit, Shallipopi dropped more singles including SharpiruEx Convict, and Obapluto. His debut EP, Planet Pluto, dropped in July 2023 and featured artists like Zlatan and Fireboy DML.
