Soludo Lied Against Igbo Youths – Ohanaeze Ex-Spokesman, Chuks Ibegbu

The former spokesman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chuks Ibegbu has accused Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State of lying against Igbos. He was reacting to Soludo’s claim that 99.99 percent of criminals arrested in Anambra in the past three years and three months are Igbo youths. Ibegbu asked the Governor to retract the offensive statement. He insisted that Soludo’s narrative was neither correct nor factual, saying that it could best be described as a betrayal of his people. “It is regrettable that a person of Soludo’s calibre can betray his own people with such unfortunate comments, which is an obvious lie.” The former Ohanaeze Ndigbo spokesman, who is the leader of Nzuko Ndigbo Worldwide, also cautioned some Igbo politicians against betraying or denigrating their people for selfish interest. He urged South East Governors and legislators to implement anti-open grazing laws in their states, saying that such would restore sanity to cities and communities. “I saw herds of cattle in Umuahia and Enugu cities the other day, and it was worrisome.” He regretted the death of ex-President Buhari but noted that his death in London is a pointer to how Nigeria’s past and present rulers, including Buhari, did not do enough to improve Nigeria’s health facilities.
