The University of Ilesa (UNILESA) has opened up its JUPEB programme for the 2025/2026 academic year. If you’re looking for a direct entry route into second-year university studies, this could be your chance.
The Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) is a full-time, two-semester course that prepares students for admission into 200 level in Nigerian universities. Lectures are held on the UNILESA campus.

Sciences and Medical Fields
- Biology/Physics(or Maths)/Chemistry
- Physics/Maths/Chemistry (or Biology)
- Physics/Biology/Chemistry (for Nursing)
Computing
- Maths/Physics/Biology (or Chemistry or Economics or Geography)
Social and Management Sciences
- Government/Economics/any other subject
- Geography/any two of Maths, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
- Maths (or Govt)/Economics/any Social Science
- Government (or History)/two Social Science or Arts subjects
Law and Arts
- Literature/Economics/any Arts subject
Who Can Apply?
To apply, you must have:
- At least five O’Level credits in relevant subjects, in no more than two sittings
- You can apply with an awaiting result, but make sure it’s uploaded on time
Application Steps
- Go to the UNILESA admissions portal
- Pay ₦20,000 using an Interswitch-enabled ATM card
- Fill the form carefully and submit online. Don’t leave it incomplete
- You may also buy the form in person at the Admissions Office
- Deadline is Sunday, 31 August 2025
