Unveiled this month, the app alongside its logistics arm, WakaForMe Errands is poised to transform how residents travel and how businesses deliver, offering an affordable, innovative solution that’s already making waves.

MacTech, spearheaded by CEO Afeez Akinfola Oyinloye, a graduate with a BSc in Information Systems from the University of East London, has positioned itself as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s tech landscape. “WakaForMe Ride is about solving real problems,” Oyinloye said at the launch event. “We’re bringing efficiency, affordability, and opportunity to Osun State, something it’s never seen before.”
As Osun’s pioneering ride-hailing platform, WakaForMe Ride tackles longstanding issues like traffic bottlenecks and unreliable transport options. With a few taps, users can book budget-friendly rides up to 30% cheaper than traditional taxis, while businesses tap into WakaForMe Errands for swift, reliable logistics. “This is a milestone for Osun,” said Adeola Ojo, the state’s Commissioner for Transportation. “It’s a local innovation with global potential.”
The app’s impact is already tangible. Over 500 drivers and motorbike riders have joined the platform, gaining steady employment in a region where jobs can be scarce. Small businesses, too, are reaping benefits. “Deliveries that took hours now take minutes,” said Funke Adekunle, a local retailer. “My sales are up by 25% since I started using WakaForMe Errands.”

Beyond convenience, WakaForMe Ride is driving positive change. By optimizing routes, it’s cut travel times by 20%, easing congestion and reducing fuel costs for commuters.
