We’ve Had Some Really Hard Times – Barack And Michelle Obama Address Divorce Rumors (Video)

Former US President Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have finally broken the silence on their rumoured divorce. There were rumours last year that the couple planned to divorce. Barack Obama joined his wife and his brother-in-law Craig Robinson on Wednesday for an episode of the siblings’ podcast, “IMO.” During the new episode, Robinson remarked that it was “nice to have” the former first lady and president “in the same room.” “I know, because when we aren’t, folks think we’re divorced,” the former first lady replied. The former president later said the divorce rumors “are the kinds of things that” he just misses. “So, I don’t even know this stuff’s going on. And then somebody will mention it to me, and I’m all like, ‘What are you talking about?’” he added. Michelle Obama continued on saying, “There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I’ve thought about quitting on my man. And we’ve had some really hard times and we’ve had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures and I have become a better person because of the man I’m married to.” Michelle Obama has previously addressed speculation about marital discord with her husband, saying last month the public was not going to be aware of what the couple was up to “every minute of the day.” “Even in this phase in our lives, when Barack and I say something, right or wrong, it does get covered,” the former first lady said on NPR’s “Wild Card.” “The fact that people don’t see me going out on a date with my husband sparks rumors of the end of our marriage,” she added, talking about tabloid reports about trouble in the relationship between her and the former president. The two have been married for more than 30 years. The Obamas married in 1992 and have two daughters, Malia and Sasha.
